There is some good news for disabled workers today. The Obama administration has made plans to improve and increase employment for disabled workers in the U.S.
A proposed rule announced Thursday by the Labor Department would require most federal promoted contractors to set a goal of having disabled workers make up at least 7 percent of their employees.
In previous years, the government has greatly promoted the hiring of women and minorities, but is now devoting resources and efforts to recruit and hire more disabled workers.
Because people with disabilities are most prone to discrimination, this new law will provide disabled workers with an opportunity to search for a job and not be afraid of being discriminated.
